Grip Trex Boots

Size Guide

The Ruffwear Grip Trex dog boots set the standard in paw protection for dogs that go exploring the great outdoors with their owners or who perhaps need protection for an existing paw injury.

These all-terrain boots are ideal for active dogs that enjoy hiking, biking, running and generally exploring in a variety of conditions and activities.

Breathable Upper

Tightly woven air mesh is breathable while keeping dirt and debris out.

Vibram Sole

Turn the boots over and you will find a premium Vibram sole which is not only rugged and resilient but will also provide your dog with fantastic traction on a wide variety of surfaces.

Paw Protection

A tightly woven breathable mesh upper fabric lets air out to keep paws cool and stops dirt and debris getting in while a reflective trim on the upper ensures increased visibility in low light conditions.

Easy On/Off

The Grip Trex Boots feature a gusset design which provides a wide opening for easy on/off and the closure system is a hook and loop velcro strap which fastens around the narrowest part of your dog's paw.

Check The Fit

Just as you would with your own boots stop and check the fit and tension after an initial 10 minutes and then throughout your journey.

Our Experience

Our golden retriever Albie has sensitive pads, particularly on rocky shorelines, since fitting him with some Grip Trex boots we haven't had any issues with discomfort and he is able to get out and still have fun!

Fitting Instructions

If buying a new pair of shoes for yourself you would most likely try them on in the shop and wear them in your home making sure they were comfortable before taking them out and marking the soles. Please follow the same guidelines with your dog and try their new shoes in the comfort of your own home before wearing them outside. This is to ensure that your dog is happy in their boots and that they fit well without slipping, coming loose or falling off. Boots which slip off generally indicate a fitting issue and once worn outside we are unable to provide exchanges or returns for size changes due to fit.

We always advise that just as you would with your own boots once outside enjoying a walk that you stop and check the fit and tension after an initial ten minutes and then throughout your journey.
