Durable Chew & Long Lasting Flavour
Benebones are durable chews that are designed to last and retain flavour longer than most other chew toys. You should always monitor for wear and tear but as a rough guide, you can expect your Benebone to last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months however we recommend replacing monthly, or sooner if signs of wear indicate it necessary.
The flavor is infused into the nylon bone so while you may not be able to smell it yourself your dog should be able to smell, taste, and enjoy it for quite some time.
What dogs are Benebone suitable for?
Given its hardness and durability, we recommend keeping Benebone away from very young puppies under six months of age and any dogs who may have compromised tooth structure and would recommend caution for dogs that are older in age.
When to replace your Benebone
Watch for wear and replace Benebones frequently to ensure that the product remains whole and intact at all times. Though a rough guide only, Benebones should be discarded if a piece larger than a grain of rice has broken off or may break off.
Monitor the condition of the Benebone closely to watch for bristles or sharp edges caused by your dog chewing and remove then replace if necessary.
Please note all Benebone products are made in a factory where nuts are used so avoid introducing any Benebone product to a home with an allergy to nuts of any kind.
