Great cool coat!
"With the weather being so warm, the cool coat has been perfect for my Alaskan malamute. She has felt cool to the touch and i know she can go out and enjoy her walks. I have recommended it to others. Thank you! :)"

The one that keeps them covered - UPF 50+, full body, maximum cooling.

When the sun is high, cover up. It's cooler that way.
The Swamp Cooler Vest offers the maximum cooling coverage in the Ruffwear range. If the Swamp Cooler Zip is built for speed, the Vest is built for coverage - more shade, more sun protection, more of your dog covered.
The light-coloured outer layer is rated UPF 50+, blocking 98% of the sun's UV rays across the full body - the most sun protection of anything in the Swamp Cooler range. Soak it and that same layer activates evaporative cooling, pulling heat away from your dog's core. When it dries, re-soak it and it's working again.
Side-release buckles make it quick on and off, and a leash portal on the back means it sits comfortably over most harnesses without any fuss. Reflective trim adds visibility in low light. It does a lot without making a fuss about it.
Albie had thick, dense fur and needed every bit of coverage this vest offers. Kizzie, a little slower now in her senior years, wears it too. Between them, this vest has had the full Barks & Bunnies test.

If anything ever happens while you're out, whoever finds this card knows exactly who to call to make sure your animals are safe at home.
Every first order from Barks & Bunnies comes with one free - we add it when we pack your order. Want an extra for a partner or a spare for your wallet?

"Great item & super quick delivery, the big boys could learn a thing or two from this company. Highly recommended."
"Medium fits my 25 kilo labradoodle perfectly and will keep him cool in hot weather"
"The people at Bark and Bunnies were so helpful. We have tried the cool coat for our Siberian husky as she suffers in the heat. Would thoughly recommend."
"Great products and excellent service - thank you"
"Our dog (border collie) was between sizes. The correct size for length gave a girth size just on the borderline between small and medium; a lesser girth size, which would have fitted well, gave a back length about 4" shorter.. We chose the larger size; it does give the body coverage we wanted; the securing straps are pretty much fully tightened to get the girth secure - so not a lot of leeway in terms of sizing. In terms of the product itself, it seems very well designed and manufactured; materials used seem substantial. All buckles and straps are hidden so risk of catching them on anything (like agility equipment) is very low. We used the vest in terms of cooling off after agility; getting into a hot car at the start of a journey and dog walking in temperatures in the high 20's. All have a significant impact on keeping the dog cool or, if hot, cooling him down much faster than otherwise. The best test was yesterday when walking mid afternoon in high temperatures. When the walk and play was over, the dog was panting but only as much as if it had been a spring day. 15 minutes in the cool of the house and he was totally back to normal. In terms of use, we are finding the easy way is to keep an extra water bottle in the car and pore its content onto the vest at the start of the walk. 500ml is adequate; 750ml gives it a good soaking. There's not much squeezing to be done (it held the content well) and the vest seems to work to about an hour. It also seems to dry quite quickly once the walk is over. Yes, it is silver grey and it will pick up/show grit/dirt if the dog lies down on loose ground with the vest on but it either just knocks off or, as has happened once when there were grass stains, a quick wash brought it back to new. I've noticed that some other dog walkers give sideways looks at the dog wondering why he is wearing a coat in such hot weather - they're usually intrigued when they find out for the first time its purpose"
"Absolutely fantastic for my border collie who cannot tolerate the heat- he is so much more comfortable when having his'comfort' walk during the day in the heat, his main exercise 2-3hrs is very early morning but this cooler coat is simply brilliant for his comfort during the day .Would recommend immediately, product quality and fit spot on,have already had several people asking about the coat, although be prepared for some funny looks and explaining that your dog is not actually wearing a coat,it is to cool him down! However be aware this coat,or any other cooling coat is NOT designed to replace common sense and caution in hot weather in terms of length of exposure to summer temperatures."
"Thank you Barks and Bunnies our Pollyanna can now sit out in the garden take her usual walks and Run in the fields/woods and not get upset because she has her FABULOUS Cool Coat On !!! Great service and Very Helpful xxx"
"If you have used they coats for a couple of years be aware sizing has changed ie they are now bigger. My original xs was great for my Spitz breed tail. New design is larger in all areas, pushing my new girls tail under the coat and requiring full shortening of straps each side to bring the chest pad up to the body. The xxs, I suspect, would be too small for my girl, still much prefer Ruff gear cool coats to any others on the market, I've tried a few having black active dogs."
"This coat really works, especially in a hot car. We have air conditioning but Mimi pants like mad on a warm day, not a bit of panting when she is wearing this coat. Obviously works extremely well outside too. A really good buy."
