There's a moment, out on a trail or somewhere far from the car, when the roles reverse. When your dog - the one who's always ready, always willing, always first to the door - needs you to be the one who gets them to safety. The BackTrak Evac Kit is built for that moment.

It won't stop the unexpected from happening. But it means that when it does - an injury on the trail, a sudden illness, an emergency you didn't see coming - you won't be standing there wishing you'd been more prepared. You'll be able to scoop them up and go.

The kit includes two components: a lightweight first-aid muzzle and a human vest with a built-in dog carrying sling. The muzzle adjusts precisely around the snout and secures quickly behind the ears - designed for first-aid use, not everyday wear. The vest features colour-coded straps for intuitive setup under pressure, with multiple adjustment points for both dog and human. It can be worn with your dog carried in the front or the back, and packs into its own mesh pocket when not in use.

Set it up at home before you need it. Size it to yourself and your dog. Then pack it and forget it - until the day you're very glad it's there.

Sizing is based on your dog's girth. The human vest is the same across all sizes: chest strap up to 67 in (170 cm), waist strap up to 79 in (200 cm). The sling supports dogs up to 103 lbs (46.7 kg) - though do consider what you can carry safely yourself.
