Twenty feet of Ruffwear's lightweight Tubelok webbing, and a lockable screwgate carabiner that's significantly stronger than the clips you'll find on most long lines - important when a dog hits the end of the line at full speed. There's no handle either, which is the point: it trails flat on the ground, no loop to catch on a tree root or snag mid-run. If you want the option to stop it, a dog trainer's trick worth knowing - tie a couple of loose knots along the line, place your foot over it, and the knot bumps against your foot rather than slipping through.
