What Flavours were tested?

Albie and Kizzie had a packet of Calm & Relaxed Pooch & Mutt treats to try and also the Feel Good chicken treats which donate to charity with every purchase.

Quality of Ingredients - Pooch & Mutt Dog Treats

All the Pooch & Mutt dog treats are PETA approved and come with an ethical shoppers award which gave us complete confidence in the quality of what we were feeding Albie & Kizzie.

All the treats are wheat free, low calorie, and the two meat proteins used in their treats are both British sourced chicken and lamb.

Taste & Smell - Pooch & Mutt Dog Treats

We didn't find there was a significant aroma from either the Pooch & Mutt Feel Good or Pooch & Mutt Calm & Relaxed treats but Albie & Kizzie seemed to be able to smell them and certainly appeared to like what they sniffed.

After trying a few treats out and starting to take photos Kizzie really got into the swing of things... so much so that she couldn't wait to get her nose into the tube and help herself!

We think it must mean she thinks they tasted good!

And Albie? He can be a little fussy with what he eats. We think most likely due to his colitis he can be quite selective and only eats what he finds easy on his tummy. So we were really happy to see that he hung around the entire time we were taking photos and waited patiently for his next - until he could resist no longer and made a dash for a little pile of them and gobbled them all!

Both flavours of these natural dog treats passed Albie's taste test, he has been known to spit treats out before but he ate every Pooch & Mutt dog treat that we offered him.

Texture - Pooch & Mutt Dog Treats

Each bone gave a satisfying crunch which Albie & Kizzie enjoyed.

It was also easy to break each bone shaped dog treat in half to double the rewards.

Size - Pooch & Mutt Dog Treats

We really liked how small the treats were, it made it easy to reward and treat both Albie & Kizzie without feeding them too much, great for the waistline and monitoring their weight.

Being so small we were really impressed at how many treats were included in each tube, with approximately 150 treats per pot - they should certainly last a long time.

Health Benefits - Pooch & Mutt Dog Treats

Pooch & Mutt Calm & Relaxed is low calorie and contains Chamomile which was traditionally used in ancient Greece, Egypt and beyond to aid relaxation. To increase the relaxing benefits they also use L-tryptophan which is essential to form serotonin, the ‘feel good’ neurotransmitter.

Calm & Relaxed by Pooch & Mutt are ideal to give your dog just before stressful situations such as visits to the vets, car journeys, fireworks, competitions, or just as a nice bedtime treat.

We couldn't see any particular health benefits for Pooch & Mutt Feel Good other than being low calorie. The main focus of this flavour is that 10p per pack sold is donated to dog charities.
